When asked the function of diacepham drug, Aderibigbe said it was for sedation, even as he submitted that the organs of a person that is sedated can not function properly and that it is risky to central nervous system.

The pathologist, Dr Olufemi Solaja, who carried out the autopsy on this body of the late senator had earlier the coroner that the result of the toxicology test done on Adeleke showed high levels of alcohol; sedatives and analgesic in the system. I later went inside to get them and also found the calls I missed on my phone. "Whenever he was given prescription and he probably didn't complete his treatment in Abuja, I would administer the remaining".

Aderibigbe, who was being led in evidence by his counsel, Barrister Lekan Alabi said Adeleke was hypertensive and had gaouty arthritis, saying "I treated him as a nurse and not as a doctor and I never prescribed any drug for him throughout my 20 years of relationship with him". I returned back to the Adeleke residence by 9:30 am.

He said the autopsy carried out by him and his team was performed in the presence of the Police Divisional Officer of Dugbe Police Station, Osogbo, SP Ogunkanmi Gbemileke and the two other pathologists from LAUTECH.

Aderibigbe said: "The senator gave me his drugs which he brought from Lagos to keep on the evening of Monday, April 17, with the understanding that when he wants to take them, he will call me to bring them".

"When I returned, I found the senator in the sleeping position I left him, and on closer observation, his heart rate had dropped and his pulse was faint".

"I got to the senator's house around 4:33a.m. and I met him in pains with some oral drug and bottle water".

"I quickly gave him a cardiac massage and called on his friend, Dipo, to assist me and when the situation was beyond my control, I raised an alarm and he was quickly rushed to Biket hospital".

He added that some drugs were said to have been administered on him.

"I asked clearly the medical status of the person that administered the injections".

Dr. Taiwo Solaja, a pathologist in charge of determining the cause of death of former Ondo governor, Isiaka Adeleke has said he died through choking due to drug overdose.

In his reaction, Mr. Lasisi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the autopsy report was not with him.

Laoye-Tomori tendered her manifest for April 22, which stated that she and the late Adeleke were said to have sat side by side at the burial of the grandmother of Mr. Amobi Akintola, the APC senatorial Chairman in Osun West senatorial district, as an exhibit before the coroner chairman, Mr. Olusegun Ayilara.
