Pittsburgh to Trump: You don't speak for us on climate

Ceasar Mitchell, the current president of the Atlanta City Council, said that Trump made his decision not on science, "but on the shouts and screams of his supporters".

Baker and Scott last month urged Trump to continue the USA commitment to the climate agreement.

The U.S. never ratified Kyoto through the Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations. He made very clear yesterday what he doesn't believe, which is that the USA government should stay in an agreement that gives us too much of the financial burden, too much risks to these industries where the coalminers, people who work in cement and paper, people who he looked in the eye...

He chalked this all up to a whopping $3 trillion cost to the USA economy by 2040, although there's not a full consensus on what that amount could be among analysts. He said he was leaving the pact to help the people of Pittsburgh, not Paris, despite the fact that the Steel City has successfully shifted away from heavy manufacturing to a robust economy fueled by the tech, healthcare, and higher-learning sectors.

The EU and China - two of the world's major polluters - are set to issue a statement reaffirming their stance on global warming following Trump's announcement Thursday.

London police respond to second incident
May has not commented yet but in the past she has convened her emergency security Cabinet known as Cobra after major incidents. The force tweeted a warning telling people in the area to run to safety, hide and then call police if it is safe to do so.

Bell also agreed this week to sign letters to Trump and the executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change from mayors, governors, business and university leaders expressing concern about the withdrawal and promising a continued commitment to cut carbon in their own communities.

It is clear that whoever takes office in the United Kingdom on the 9th of June will be committed to tackling climate change. "We will support them and fight on their side". With strong words of global leadership to protect our planet in all the main party manifestos, all United Kingdom political parties are set on broadly the right course, at least at a high level.

"Let me tell you that the mayors won't quit, because for us - we live close to our people and we care about the environment", Burnsville Mayor Elizabeth Kautz said. "With the entire agenda of the previous administration we still fell 40 percent short of those targets", Pruitt said. "We just do it because it makes life better here!"

"I don't know if you guys caught my confirmation process or not, but ... that confirmation process I indicated that in fact global warming is occurring, that human activity contributes to it in some manner", Pruitt said.
