Quail Springs Baptist Church, 14613 N May, "Galactic Starveyors", 9 a.m.to noon June 26-30, geared for prekindergarten (age 5 by September 1, 2017) through fifth grade. It's open to any interested musicians and listeners.

Christian Science Church, 808 Central, will hear the lesson-sermon "Is the Universe, Including Man, Evolved by Atomic Force?" during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service.

Homecoming and Revival Services, 11 a.m., Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Concord, Pastor Foster will deliver the message.

Glow for Jesus! Let Your Light Shine Vacation Bible School, 5-7 p.m. June 26-30, Toliver Chapel Baptist Christ, 1402 Elm Ave.; free. "Super Me!-Possibility", with classes provided for ages 3 thru adults. The children are asked to bring colorful "no show" socks, a canned food item or monetary donations to benefit the children on Standing Rock Indian Reservation. "What is It?" during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service in Lake Hamilton Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 2891 Airport Road.

Guest Speaker, 11 a.m., Piney Hill Baptist Church, 320 Slapp Creek Road, will be the Rev. Preston Little. Adult lectures will be held concurrently with activities for children from pre-K to fifth grade. For transportation, call Sonny Stovall at 734-7340.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi St., will discuss a short story by Annie Dillard for the 9:15 a.m. "Listening to God" series, will celebrate Father's Day with root beer floats after the 10:30 a.m. service and host a viewing of Safe Haven at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The theme will be "Faith Run: On Course With God".

Vacation Bible School, 8 a.m.to noon, Court Street Baptist Church, 517 Court St., Monday through Friday, includes breakfast and lunch. There will be classes for all ages.

Morning Star United Methodist Church, 3200 Spring St., will hear lay speaker Nancy Scott speak on "The Love of a Father" at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Dr. Zebedee Talley Jr., superintendent of Martinsville City Schools.
