According to the Washington Post, Vice President Mike Pence has retained outside counsel to handle inquiries related to special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation probe.

This week, Pence hired his own attorney, Richard Cullen, a Richmond-based attorney who once served as a USA attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Cullen's fees will not be paid for with taxpayer dollars, according to Agen.

A former Virginia attorney general, Cullen served as the Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia under the administration of former President George W Bush where he directed investigations of financial institutions and defense contractors.

In May, Trump hired lawyer Marc Kasowitz - who previous year represented the Trump campaign and has previously represented Trump personally - to serve as the president's attorney for investigation-related issues.

He also made Buck look a little better by saying that Koepka only secretively told Faxon that the two were dating last week. On Sunday, he added Erin Hills in Wisconsin to the list - the stop that made all those frequent flier miles worth it.

Pence also claimed that Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey in May because of a memo written by the deputy attorney general. Those policies, relations with Cuba, investigations into any collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign and Pence hiring outside counsel are grabbing headlines in what some call a contentious political climate.

Comey testified before Congress last week that he leaked parts of the notes he took on conversations he had with Trump in hope the news would prompt appointment of a special counsel. The Justice Department appointed former Federal Bureau of Investigation director Robert Mueller as special counsel to oversee the Russian Federation probe just one day after the existence of the memos was disclosed.

"We want to people to know as Hoosiers we do not support Pence and the policies that he represents", Annette Gross, an organizer of the protest said. Trump spent a good portion of the day tweeting in anger about that and other related issues. But it's happened in Trump's first five months.

The emergence of the obstruction of justice inquiry may make it harder for Trump to have Mueller removed.

Cullen referred questions to Pence's office.

Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., said he didn't find news that Mueller is exploring obstruction of justice particularly surprising given it's clear he is "going to look at everything". But he never hired a counsel during the investigation and subsequent impeachment of President Bill Clinton. The attorney was part of George W. Bush's legal team during the Florida recount in the 2000 presidential election. "Experience is everything", she said.
