Blake Griffin has opted out of the previous year of his contract and will become an unrestricted free agent, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical. The other half of "Lob City" DeAndre Jordan, was reportedly being shopped around by the Clippers just before the NBA Draft, but the team ended up not making a move.

Clippers point guard Chris Paul is also expected to opt out of his contract.

If Paul is indeed serious about competing for a title towards the end of his career, moving on from the Clippers makes the most sense. West has helped his former team the Los Angeles Lakers win several championships as an exec, and recently helped the Golden State Warriors build their championship dynasty before taking the job with the Clippers.

On Saturday, police cracked down on West Bank Palestinians without permits in Jerusalem, locating and sending home about 350. Seconds later, a second attack took place when a third Palestinian repeatedly stabbed policewoman Hadas Malka with a knife.

In 61 games, Paul averaged 18.1 points, 9.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game last season to go with 124 3-pointers.

Paul will forgo the final year of his current deal with the Clippers, which is worth over $24 million, to hit the open market when free agency starts July 1st.

If either signs with another team, the most they can earn is $153 or $130 million over four years, respectively.
