Temperatures climb and rain chances stick around

Wonderful weather is due for Detroit and Southeast Michigan Sunday. While not everyone will see rain, a few of the storms that develop will produce heavy rain and gusty winds. Highs will remain around 80. We'll continue to keep our eyes peeled as the new computer models come in over the next 24 hours - keeping you ahead of the holiday rain chances, by giving you the latest forecast details.

What to expect this week: The next best chance for showers and storms will be mid-week, but highs will still be in the low-80s, which is about average for early-July. I still expect some nice breaks, with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Scattered Afternoon Storms. High: 92-94. Showers and Storms, Mainly in the Afternoon. It'll feel humid through the night, with lows reaching the mid 70s. Storm chances: 50% for the 4th and Wednesday, 30 to 40% for the remainder of the week.
