A short trailer shared by the official Mass Effect Twitter account (embedded below) reveals an in-game batarian as well as a new platinum difficulty level for the Andromeda's APEX multiplayer missions. Not much is revealed in the clip, but it does set up the potential for the studio to unveil much more information about the new difficulty in the near future.

What's so significant about Platinum difficulty? So don't get your hopes and expectations too high, there is every possibility that Mass Effect Andromeda development is done and dusted as far as new content is concerned.

Vietnamese hostages beheaded in Basilan
The two were among six sailors snatched off the MV Royal 16 off Sibago Island, Basilan on November 11, 2016. Villagers in the Philippines found two abducted Vietnamese sailors, beheaded, on Wednesday.

The team announced earlier today that the game will soon be getting a "Platinum Difficulty" setting to be added to APEX Multiplayer.

This means Mass Effect series fans are back to square one, but let me clear few things - Kotaku sources are very credible (and we have seen this in the past), the site carries report like this only after confirming the details from multiple sources. With this being the case, it stands to reason that single-player DLC could be a long way off, if not indefinitely postponed. We would prefer waiting until the end of the year before we can place our verdict on the fate of Mass Effect Andromeda.
