Pennywise actor Bill Skarsgård joins Hulu's Stephen King horror series

Set to debut as the terrifying clown Pennywise later this year in IT, Bill Skarsgård has signed on for another Stephen King adaptation by joining the cast of the Hulu's Castle Rock.

Variety reports that Skarsgard is set to play "a young man with an unusual legal problem". The cast also includes Andre Holland, Sissy Spacek, Melanie Lynskey, and Jane Levy.

Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness), and Jane Levy (Suburgatory), Castle Rock is set in the Stephen King multiverse and promises to tell "an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few squares miles of ME woodland". The fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine, has served as the setting for many of King's books, including "Cujo", "The Dead Zone", and "The Body".

For me, Maitland-Niles is the most likely of the youngsters to get minutes on the tour. He has good technique, is good at using short spaces and is a hard-working player.

Bill Skarsgard has been cast as a series regular on Hulu's Castle Rock.

The series, which hails from JJ Abrams' Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Television, which previously collaborated on event series 11.22.63, based on King's novel.

Castle Rock is based on characters and situations created by Stephen King. Castle Rock was created by Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason and is executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson and Liz Glotzer. Worldwide Television Distribution will distribute globally.
