For Interview's latest cover feature, Chappelle quizzed the "DNA." rapper on how he balances reality and fame, the backstory behind "DUCKWORTH." and how Lamar's visit to South Africa (a country that once housed Chappelle for an extended period), changed his outlook on his work.

He discusses a trip he took to South Africa that really opened his eyes, "Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg-and those were definitely the "I've arrived" shows".

On Wednesday night, Kendrick Lamar finally kicked off "The DAMN". "Outside of the money, the success, the accolades..." We never dream of Africa.

The two stars then spoke about Lamar's mission statement as an artist. "I wrote most of my first album in my mom's kitchen, and now I can go around the world and hear people recite those lyrics, and understand the story, even though they're not from the same area I grew up in". I didn't know how to digest it. "The more and more I get out and talk to different people, I realize they appreciate that - me being unapologetic in whatever views and approach I have".

According to Billboard, Lamar's DAMN. album spent three weeks at No. 1.

Pakistan says it has started fencing its border with Afghanistan to stop the cross-border movement of the armed groups. An earlier version of this report misstated that a post of the Frontier Constabulary was attacked.

There's no wonder why Kendrick Lamar has accrued a devoted, impassioned fan base over the course of his musical career.

"The idea that I wanted to put across from that event was one of perspective". "The way that event unfolded..."

When Chappelle asked, "Was Africa your "Oh, sh*t, I made it" moment?"
