Faced with looming wedding dates, brides, their mothers and other members of wedding parties are using Alfred Angelo's Facebook page to discuss how to retrieve dresses they've already paid thousands of dollars to purchase.

Two local businesses are stepping up for some local brides-to be after the sudden closing of national chain Alfred Angelo.

Brides who purchased their wedding dresses through one of Alfred Angelo's free-standing retail locations in the USA and have learned that their dress will not arrive as promised, will be given 30% off the current price of all gowns available at David's Bridal.

Patricia Redmond, a lawyer who is representing Alfred Angelo Bridal, told the Sun Sentinel that she will ask the court-appointed trustee to release dresses being held in the stores awaiting pickup.

David's Bridal will extend this offer for a full 30 days after the news of Alfred Angelo's store closures. The hottest tips relate to the names and phone numbers of third-party seamstresses who've been working to alter dresses - and who might be able to unite dresses and their recipients.

RJD sources told The Hindu: "Laluji has nurtured this alliance; he had even campaigned strenuously for JD (U) candidates in 2015". Congress President Sonia Gandhi has spoken to both Lalu Prasad Yadav and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the last week.

To find another dress right now, it's crunch time.

"They don't know if they're gonna get a refund", Butcher said, "or if we're going to get the dresses at all". Customers are welcomed to visit any David's Bridal store with their original branded Alfred Angelo retail receipt on or before August 14, 2017 to receive these offers. "They said yes, they were closing at 6", Butcher said.

Some companies are offering special discounts for affected brides, and other brides who have already gotten married are offering their dresses for free.

Bridesmaid Natalie Buck, who's in a wedding in October, told KPCC that when she called Visa about the situation, "They said that if the company doesn't follow through then they will give me my money, and they will go after Alfred Angelo". Two businesses contacted by CBS News said they can not get a hold of anyone at the company, and they don't know what to tell their customers.
