Dead woman found in vehicle on Woodridge Drive

Police learned a Cedar Hill woman was missing Friday and tracked her vehicle to a residence at 424 Woodridge Mansfield, Ohio.

Officers from Mansfield responded to Woodridge Drive and found the missing woman's vehicle.

Police said around midnight they were contacted by a police department in Texas, Cedar Hill Police asked them to check a residence for a missing woman from Texas. He said that he had not seen the woman in question since Thursday.

The body has not yet been positively identified, but authorities believe it is that of a missing woman from Cedar Hill, TX.

They found Dequalan Harris with the auto and the woman's body in the trunk. "While speaking with the male subject, he was advised that Cedar Hill (Texas) Police Department wanted him detained at which time a struggle ensued as he fought with officers and attempted to run away".

A short foot pursuit occurred and a Taser was deployed before Harris was apprehended. Her name and cause of death have not been released.

The vehicle was taken to Richland County Coroner's office and was processed by the Mansfield Police Crime Lab.

Harris has been charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest and abuse of a corpse.
