A crowd of an estimated 7,000 went absolutely wild at D23 as Disney previewed the first clip from its live-action remake of The Lion King.

Another rumored voice for The Lion King is none other than Beyonce, for the role of Nala.

"We know how important this is", director Jon Favreau (who helped pioneer the naturalism of The Jungle Book) said. Jackman also worked with Disney in 2011's Reel Steel.

The rumor was denied when TheWrap approached Jackman's representatives, who confirmed the falsified information. If they are lying and this really is true, Jackman would be joining Donald Glover as Simba, Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumba, and newly announced John Oliver as Zazu.

The meeting was called to seek opposition's support for the smooth conduct of proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament. Modi also thanked everyone for the implementation of the GST, calling it a "shining example of co-operative federalism".

Jackman certainly has the ferocity to play Scar, and will bring his many talents to the character. James Earl Jones is set to return as Mufasa. Jackman has just recently retired his Adamantium Wolverine claws for good, after his swan song Logan hit theaters earlier this year. Unfortunately, for now it seems as if this claim doesn't hold water but fans still have hope for Jackman.

He can get that grizzled voice down pat and is distinct enough from Jeremy Irons' original - so it all makes sense. If Jackman and Beyonce both end up in the film, it would be one of the best ensemble casts Disney has ever compiled.

Disney also teased its live action remake of its animated classic Dumbo, which has been given a March 29, 2019 release date.
