Ruth Langsford was confirmed as the third contestant for Strictly Come Dancing 2017 on today's This Morning programme.

The TV regular received the dubious praise of her less-than-athletic husband Eamonn Holmes who said his wife will be "an inspiration to older women around the country" as she goes from "hot flushes to hot moves" on the show.

Strictly Come Dancing has announced 2 more contestants heading into the ballroom this September.

The presenters teased viewers with the announcement, showing three doors with potential This Morning hosts behind them. 'The sum of my dance experience is throwing a few shapes at a party, I've never had a dance lesson in my life'. Without doubt it will be the scariest yet most exciting thing I've ever done.

More Hunger Games, Twilight movies could be on the way
Both franchises were at the center of the YA boom when they hit theaters, leaving fans hungry for more with each new installment. Variety is reporting that Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer says that there could be more Twilight and Hunger Games movies to come.

Ruth said she will be training for four hours in the afternoon once she has fulfilled her presenting commitments, causing Eamonn to jokingly moan, "Some responsibilities will be neglected".

Daytime television presenter Ruth Langsford will be donning the sequins joining the likes of The Saturdays singer Mollie King and EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami.

Another celebrity set to compete for this year's Strictly Come Dancing trophy has been announced.
