JLS singer Aston Merrygold has been tipped to join the Strictly Come Dancing 2017 line up.

Having had plenty of previous dance experience with the boy band and even worked as a judge on Sky1's Got to Dance, Aston's presence in the line-up would be sure to ruffle a few feathers as Strictly Come Dancing has previously come under fire for allowing contestants with prior training to take part.

A source has revealed the news to the Sun, pointing out that the former boybander does already have some dance experience.

Although that of course didn't stop Louise Redknapp who took part past year having also been a judge on a similar show, So You Think You Can Dance.

Tokyo stocks open higher as US-North Korea tensions worries ease
The euro, which hit its highest since the start of 2015 on August 2, dipped 0.1 percent to $1.1761 in morning trade in Europe. Earlier on Thursday, North Korea revealed a plan to launch ballistic missiles toward a major USA military hub in the Pacific.

If the rumours prove true, it could mean JLS' Aston competing alongside fellow X Factor star Alexandra Burke who is also tipped for Strictly this year. The pair both took part in The X Factor in 2008 with Alex beating JLS in the final.

Others actually confirmed for this year's series include Ruth Langsford, Reverend Richard Coles, Gemma Atkinson, Mollie King and EastEnders star Davood Ghadami.

Strictly Come Dancing will start on BBC One in September.
