Arsenal plays Leicester City at home tomorrow in the league's season-opener.

The Chilean has been linked with a move away from Arsenal with Paris Saint Germain reportedly making an offer of £80million for his services.

Sanchez has been mentioned as a target for PSG and Manchester City should he leave the club this summer but Wenger has maintained that he won't sell the forward.

"I had an impact on the season, ' the Frenchman said at a Football Writers" Association event to raise money for the Grenfell Fire victims, 'because at some stage the players came to see me and said, "What's going on boss?"

"I don't know if it is two weeks or one more week, but he will not be available. I think if you read the French papers, they are on Mbappe's case to finish their transfer market". "I have had no contact with PSG".

Ozil and Ramsey missed the Gunners' penalty shootout victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield with ankle and calf injuries, respectively, while Mertesacker suffered a head injury during the game against the Blues and was substituted in the first-half.

In addition, six party MLAs did not vote since they had quit the party and resigned from membership of the legislative assembly. Ahmed Patel, assured of 43 Congress votes, needs 44 votes to win today and Mr Vasava's vote would get him there.

Arsenal haven't lost three consecutive opening day fixtures since 1960.

While a move to City can guarantee Champions League football, Sanchez will have to fight tooth and nail to get regular starts.

Wenger also dismissed media reports linking Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with rivals, Chelsea.

The 23-year-old England worldwide has struggled to secure a regular place since arriving at Arsenal six years ago, but Wenger believes the winger has the potential to become a great player.

The manager is not hopeful of keeping the player, and has made it fairly clear that he thinks the player will go at the end of his current deal, which of course runs out at the end of the season.

"He's very conscious of his qualities, he was not always".
