Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer is the latest celebrity confirmed to be competing in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

"I am so excited, terrified and proud to be invited to be part of Strictly 2017", Rimmer - best known for Channel 4's Sunday Brunch - told the BBC. I've always been a HUUUUGE fan of the show.

"When I put on my sequins and hit the floor it will genuinely be my very first time dancing ballroom and Latin".

"Spray tan and sequins are the thing I'm most looking forward to", Simon told his co-host Tim Lovejoy, who presented his pal with a tin of "Sunday Brunch fake tan" to celebrate.

As per previous years, this full lineup will be revealed over the course of the next fortnight.

Wall Street finished a hard week on a high note
ET (1434 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index fell 70.95 points, or 0.47 percent, to 15,146.38. ASIA'S DAY: South Korea's Kospi sank 1.7 percent to 2,319.71 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 2 percent to 26,883.51.

Speaking to his co-star, Simon said that he'd be "good at the Waltz. I think I'll be more ballroom than Latin".

Many fans thought it could be their other guests Martine McCutcheon, EastEnders star Lee Ryan or The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue.

Both Joe and Simon will join the previously confirmed contestants: Mollie King, Davood Ghadami, Ruth Langsford, Gemma Atkinson, and Reverend Richard Coles.

More names will be announced over the coming weeks, but the likes of former "X Factor" stars Aston Merrygold, Alexandra Burke, and Olly Murs, ex-'EastEnders" star Samantha Womack, "The Weakest Link' host Anne Robinson, and singer Matt Goss have been rumoured to be taking part.
