The £89million man helped Manchester United beat the West Ham 4-0 at Old Trafford this afternoon, with two goals from new signing Romelu Lukaku and one each from Anthony Martial and Pogba.

It was a dominating display from United and they look good value to win the Premier League this season if they can to continue to perform as they did today. Manchester United finished sixth and West Ham finished 11th in last year's Premier League.

Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, before adding a second not long after the half-time interval.

Pogba scored five goals and made four assists in his first season back at Old Trafford but was unable to guide Manchester United back into the Premier League's top four. Blind can do a job on the left, but his speed is a major concern and hasn't looked sharp in the build-up, so the Italy worldwide looks like the best bet at this moment in time. Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly all start.

Mkhitaryan's pass freed Juan Mata and when the Spaniard's shot was blocked by West Ham goalkeeper Hart, he squared the ball to Lukaku, but the 24-year-old could not get a shot away. Picking the ball up in his own half, the teenager set off charging at a muddled bunch of retreating defenders, making a cute shimmy to his right before playing the pass to slice through the West Ham line.

Darjeeling unrest: Rajnath Singh to meet GJM chief today
We urged him to initiate the process of creating a separate state... "Our demand is very much within Constitution", he said. Singh said every one is aware of the strategic importance of the locality and the challenges the region face.

Arnautovic served a reminder of West Ham's threat with a header that De Gea was obliged to tip over, but it seemed only to redouble the home side's determination to stretch their lead.

Maraoune Fellaini replaced Mata for the final quarter-hour, while Martial came on for Rashford and Aaron Cresswell took over from Masuaku.

As for the home side, Lukaku, Matic are both handed their league debuts, but fellow summer addition Lindelof doesn't make the squad at all. Great from Pogba, bad from Hart. Red Devils fans will be optimistic for an assault on the Premier League title and it could turn into reality, providing they manage to transfer some of their home draws into wins.

Jose Mourinho has won nine league games against West Ham; more than he has against any other opponent in his managerial career.
