Expectations at both clubs vary, but there is similar pressure on both managers to deliver much better results this season.

With Arsenal failing to qualify for this season's UEFA Champions League, Sanchez, who was Arsenal's top scorer in the league with 24 goals last season, has been heavily linked with a move away from The Emirates although Wenger has repeatedly said this offseason that the Chile worldwide is not for sale. "I think he will not play at Stoke, yes". "As a game is in 90 that would guarantee you a goal (in every game)". The whole town is desperately looking forward to Premier League football - they have had to wait a long time to be back in the top flight.

"That's the target. He has to show he can do that".

"We used the pre-season to work since day one, to work and to try to improve things that we already do".

The 42-year-old believes that Mourinho's track record in the league and the ability to sort teams out in the second season of his reign will give the Red Devils the upper hand in this campaign. "The current players are young and will stay for the future", he added.

According to the French website, Atalanta also made a loan offer with a view to buy, but met the same resistance from Leicester the Ligue 1 sides have had to deal with all summer.

"Not only as a player, he is a fantastic player, but as well in the group - he has a big weight in the squad and it was a relief for me that he chose to stay".

Arsene Wenger says there could be female managers in the Premier League in the next 10 to 15 years.

Ben Davies, Dele Alli star in Tottenham's win against Newcastle
The brain-fade derailed Newcastle's momentum and any chance of pulling off an upset against last years Premier League runner-ups. With 20 minutes left, Ben Davies was found by Eriksen with the Welshman scoring the second goal of the game.

As well as Sanchez, Wenger could be without a number of other key players for the season-opener and had fitness concerns over Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Shkodran Mustafi and Per Mertesacker.

"That's unmanageable so to bring one more player in for the sake of it would be stupid, but if we find an exceptional one, we will do it".

The most notable absentee from Wenger's matchday squad will be Alexis Sanchez, who has been sidelined with an abdominal strain that he sustained in training ahead of the Community Shield match against Chelsea last week.

"He had a scan two days ago and he's out for a while", Wenger told reporters.

"We are going to see at the end of the season what happens", he indicated.

"It's down to us to put a positive atmosphere around the team".

"It's an opportunity but it's also tricky because if you don't win it's a bad start".
