Iran parliament ratifies legislation to counter United States anti-Iran moves
The measure comes in retaliation to new US sanctions on Iran over its ballistic-missile program and missile tests. The Parliament ratified the motion prepared by the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in July.

Ould Cheikh Ahmed, for his part, presented a report on the latest humanitarian situation in Yemen and his recent efforts to reinvigorate the political solution to the Yemeni crisis, and called on the Islamic Republic of Iran to support their moves.

In the meeting in Tehran, the United Nations envoy and the Iranian diplomat explored avenues for the settlement of the conflicts in Yemen.

During the meeting, the United Nations envoy briefed Jaberi Ansari on the latest humanitarian situation in Yemen and his recent consultations aimed at reactivating efforts to resolve the crisis in a political way. Leading a number of its vassal states, Saudi Arabia launched the military aggression on Yemen to eliminate the Houthi Ansarullah movement and reinstall a Riyadh-friendly former president.
