7 hurt when vehicle crashed into tent at campground

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, the Ford SUV slammed into the tent at 10:18 p.m.at the River Of Lakes campground in the Village of Bagley.

Police said that Stacy Smith, 32, of Fennimore, failed to make a turn on a campground road in southwestern Wisconsin on Saturday night.

"I mean you're sitting there, sleeping or playing a game and all of a sudden a vehicle is driving over the top of you", said Dunwoodui, who says the crash hits close to home since he's stayed inside a tent at the campground before. She then backed over the tent again.

WKOW -TV reports six of the injured are from Milwaukee and one is from Brookfield.

The seven victims were all in their mid to late 20's.

Deputies arrested Smith for OMVI causing great bodily harm with a motor vehicle. Three of them were airlifted.
