Khan had accused his wife of having an affair with undefeated AJ but backtracked on Saturday.

The heavyweight boxer got his advisers involved after a series of sensational tweets in which Khan shared supposed messages between Joshua and his wife online, MailOnline has reported.

After several social media spats between the couple, however, Amir and Faryal have finally apologised over their very public falling out.

Joshua said it wasn't him.

She said: "Everything that's going on is just not right and a complete misunderstanding".

It comes after he became embroiled in the public break-up of fellow British boxer Amir Khan and Faryal Mahkdoom. And Friday saw Faryal Makhdoom Khan announce on Twitter that her husband had been sent "fake screenshots" alleging she and Joshua had been speaking together, adding the two "have never even met".

"Anger took the better of him and he tweeted away without thinking there was absolutely NO truth to it".

Khan then took to Twitter to write to the reigning WBA, IBF and IBO king Joshua, saying: "Glad all is cleared up and all lies". No truth to it. Joshua, who had responded to Khan by tweeting a video of Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me", replied: "Apology accepted". "Good to know. All the best".
