New Trump Ad Hits 'The President's Enemies' in Media, Congress

President Trump's campaign released a new ad on Sunday touting the administration's achievements in the face of increased opposition from "the president's enemies".

The Trump administration lacks a major legislative achievement almost seven months into his presidency, however, despite Republican control of both chambers of Congress.

The ad argues that some lawmakers in Congress and many in the media are trying to obstruct the president's agenda. "Career politicians standing in the way of success".

Jack Chesterman wrote that he "couldn't believe Chelsea let Matic come to United" and that he was "bossing it so far". Above anything, his figure connotes domination - a kind of steady, unerring push towards inevitable victory.

"But President Trump's plan is working", the narrator says, before pivoting to rosy unemployment figures, record-high stock market numbers, and military readiness. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), Rep. Maxine Waters (Calif.) and Senate Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer (Md.).

The ad includes a montage of television hosts, including Joe Scarborough, Rachel Maddow and Brian Williams of MSNBC, and Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon of CNN, among others.

The Trump campaign said the ad will air nationally and online but did not specify the size of the ad buy or how long it will run.
