A tour bus hit a family in Vancouver Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses told CTV Vancouver they believe the occupants of the SUV were loading or unloading their luggage from a vehicle when the bus struck them - trapping three of them underneath.

All three trapped victims were tourists. Police later issued a news release saying that a 49-year-old man had died. First responders retrieved him from under the bus, and were seen performing CPR on him before he was taken to hospital. First responders used wood to rescue another man who was also trapped.

The teen girl and elderly man remain in hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

Firefighters and paramedics attended the scene. The driver was still in his seat during the rescue and appeared distraught. Afterwards, they were let off one by one to give statements.

"I heard the sound, the crash". "It was pretty sad".

CTV Vancouver reports one woman was rescued from under the bus. The side of the bus said it was the free shuttle to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The company confirmed it was one of their buses but refused to comment.
