Music-streaming platform #Spotify is among the top contenders when it comes to apps in the music industry.

Starting now, free users will be able to enjoy and control music through a Google Home device, just as premium subscribers have been able to do since the launch of the home hub, Spotify said Friday.

As pointed by TechRadar, one of the best ways to make optimum use of particularly smart home speakers like Google Home, is by streaming music on full-fledged mode. This is true, especially when the speaker is put in direct comparison with its arch-rival, #Amazon Echo.

For all the people out there who love Spotify but refuse to pay for the premium version of the service, today's your lucky day. In second place with a market share that exceeds 20% is the Google Home.

With a properly configured Spotify-Home setup, you can get your music going by using commands like "OK, Google, play Spotify", "OK, Google, play Discover Weekly" and "OK, Google, play my Taylor Swift playlist".

Spotify is the latest company to take a stand against hate and racism. These regions include the U.S., UK, Germany, France, Australia, and Canada; however, a global rollout is expected in the coming weeks.

Most of the groups listed by Digital Music News had tiny followings and listen counts, but the site's Paul Resnikoff wrote that "in the wake of violent clashes in Charlottesville and an increasingly vocal, post-Trump white supremacy voice, the presence of white supremacy music on Spotify takes on a different light".
